The year is … now. Jonathan Harker, a hapless young lawyer from London, is engaged to the attractive Wilhemina Hawkins in Yorkshire. To be closer, he starts work at her mother’s law firm – but his first job is to visit Transylvania and to negotiate with a foreign client who wants to buy property in England. That client is the mysterious Count Dracula, whose very name strikes terror into the hearts of the local villagers. While he is visiting the Count – and his four slightly unusual brides – Harker shows the Count a photo of his fiancé. The count becomes obsessed with her, for she is the double of his own long-dead lover, also called Wilhemina. Dracula vows he will make Wilhemina his own, imprisons Harker in the castle and sets off for England. So begins a race against time, evil and common sense!
Can Harker escape from his prison in time to save his fiancé? What help can he get from the eccentric Dorothy Van Helsing? Why does Dracula’s deformed servant, Igoretta, give him a spoon? And how do you actually pronounce “Wilhemina”? For the answers to these and many more equally absurd questions come to “DRACULA – THE FINAL COUNTDOWN”.
